About the Brand

Lancôme Paris is a leading international manufacturer and marketer of perfume, cosmetic, and skin care products. It is a cosmetics division of LOréal (along with Biotherm, Kiehls, and others.) Lancôme launched its first five fragrances in 1935 at the Worlds Fair in Brussels. The fragrances were: Tendre Nuit, Bocages, Conquete, Kypre and Tropiques. Lancome expanded its business into makeup and skincare products. One noteworthy product was Nutrix launched in 1936 which celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2006.

Carol Alt became the youngest model at the age of 18 to be the face of Lancome.Lancome is also very famous for their cosmetics products, and they have make a mark in the this industry. Beginning in 1982, Isabella Rossellini was Lancômes exclusive international spokesmodel for 14 years. Juliette Binoche, Uma Thurman, Mena Suvari, Ines Sastre, Shalom Harlow, Drew Barrymore and Marie Gillain have also been spokesmodels for Lancôme. In 2005 Lancome unveiled Daria Werbowy as one of their new spokesmodels, and in 2006 Raica Oliveira.
